The BoF China Prize
The BoF China Prize is a fashion award designed to discover and support emerging Chinese designers. The winner receives US$100,000, a London Fashion Week slot, a Paris cocktail reception and mentorship from industry leaders.
The brand visuals followed a geometric, modular approach. Each ‘square’ holds a different shape or pattern, representing both creativity and logic. This was said to be required in the contestants collections in order to get noticed by the judges.
We were able to commission a special set of characters from the Chinese typeface, Ming Romantic, in order to create the full logo. The branding was effective and simple to execute across all materials including menus, invitations, programmes, stage design, website and digital marketing. The prize picked up traction from major publications including The Guardian, Hypebeast and Vogue.
